The VŠE Board of Trustees

The VŠE Board of Trustees is responsible for the preservation of the mission which the founders of the University had in mind, for promoting public interest in its activities and for the proper management of its property. The Board comments on the budget, the annual reports on the activities and on the management of the financial affairs and the evaluation of the University´s achievements. The Board meets at least twice a year. In its work it is guided by its Statute approved by the Minister of Education. The Board has nine members who represent outstanding public figures and members of the state and local administration. Employees of VŠE are barred from appointment to the Board. The term of office is six years, whereby new members are appointed every two years.
