Professional Orientation Centre

The mission of the Professional Orientation Centre (CPOS) is to maintain contacts with the outside practical world. CPOS serves as an intermediary between firms and VŠE students and professors. Its main concern is to mediate employment for graduates and to assure part-time employment and holiday jobs for VŠE students in keeping with their specializations, to recruit lecturers among those with practical experience, and vice versa for VŠE academics to provide lectures and consulting to firms. CPOS is in charge of organizing "open-door days for firms", of mediating direct contacts between students and the representatives of firms, cooperation with the Business Leaders Forum in the area of education Roma youth in conjunction with the "Man in Distress" Foundation established by Czech TV 1.

Twice a year CPOS holds a function called "CHANCE" - a day of employment opportunities. On the other hand CPOS consistently organizes individual presentations of firms which are coming onto the Czech market, or would like to draw the students´ attention to their employment offers.

CPOS takes a share in the organization of BusinessProject under the CEMS Master Programme whereby international teams of students participate in realising given projects in a firm. CPOS also arranges internships for students of CEMS Master Programme at VŠE.
