Information for authors
The
types of text
published in Prague Economic Papers
are articles, discussion or polemical articles, consultations, survey
articles, reviews or annotations.
The
journal
deals with the subjects of economic theory, modelling and analysis,
problems of economic and social development of Czech Republic and
other economics. It presents information about scientific life and
new interesting economic literature published in the Czech Republic
and in other countries. It is intended for the English speaking
professionals both in CR and abroad.
It
is assumed that the paper
submitted for publication
has not been submitted elsewhere yet and will not be submitted to any
other publisher without the publisher’s approval.
The
content of papers
is reviewed anonymously by a team of referees and discussed by the executive
board of the journal; the author(s) will be informed about their
decision in written. If the paper is not accepted for publication,
the editorial office is authorized to keep the hard copy. The claim
to the publication of the paper is not legally enforceable.
Papers
are submitted
in English in one hard copy and in the identical electronic form in
doc or docx
format (by e-mail to the address: papers@vse.cz
or on a data carrier). The hard copy should be
signed by the author
who will confirm in this way that he/she transfers free of charge to
the publisher the copyright to the manuscript publication in printed
and electronic form (pdf
format)
and that the paper is an outcome of his/her own creative activity and
that there are no other holders of the copyright to this paper.
The
recommended
length
of articles is about 20 standard pages, i.e. maximally 40.000
characters including spaces and footnotes, reviews should have 4-6 standard pages
(up to 10.000 characters) and annotations 1-2 pages (up to 3.500
characters).
The
pages
of the manuscript
should be numbered. Please, write the footnotes
at the bottom of a page and number them consecutively. Number the
figures
and graphs
and include them in the text of the paper; if they are presented on
separate sheets of paper, please indicate their placement within the
paper. Remember that the included coloured figures and graphs will be
printed in black and white; consider whether they will not lose their
lucidity. The equations
and tables
must be uniformly formatted. References
should contain only the first item of the cited document (usually the
author’s surname) and the year of its publication – e.g.
Samuelson (1989); if a citation is included, indicate the respective
page. Any less frequent concepts and abbreviations should be
explained in the text. The manuscript should be formatted according
to the standard MS
Word Template.
At
the end of the manuscript a
list
of references
in alphabetical order according to the standard References
specimen,
the abstract
(ca. 150 words), (6-8) keywords
and JEL
classification
(www.aeaweb.org/journal/jel_class_system.html)
have to be included. Any manuscript which will not conform to those
requirements will be returned to the author/s.
On
a separate sheet of paper
the author delivers to the editorial office his/her full name with
titles and academic degrees, exact name and address of the
institution, phone number and e-mail address. These data are for use
of the editorial office only and will neither be published nor
provided to the third party.
The
authors should send the author's-proofs
to the editorial office within
four days;
no amendments that would change the length of the manuscript are
permissible.
Please
send your contributions and author's-proofs to the address:
