Money supply management through the interest rate mechanism

At the beginning of 1996 the ČNB changed money supply management. The transition was from a monetary base regulation towards control of short-interest rate of inter banking market PRIBOR 1 week. While monetary regulation base mainly results in changes of the monetary supply, the transition mechanism based on control of short interest rate influences both monetary supply and monetary demand. The monetary transition interest rate mechanism raises three questions: Does exist a perfect control of REPO? Is real a perfect connection between REPO a PRIBOR? The states of Central and Eastern Europe, which started transformation of economy, will need certain time until a new social-economic system begin to work. The transitive period is a time period from an approvement of transition scenario to fully fledged new economic system. The article starts with a conception of transformation. The processes could be divided into three levels: system level, institutions and organisations levels, and economic structure level. The structural changes are focus of the text. Analysis and short-term prediction of volume and structure of gross domestic product in cost factors

The structure of GDP estimations comes from two methods. The first one arises from the production method and the second one use consumption method. The article deals with short-term prediction of volume and structure of gross domestic product in cost factors present in current prices. Firstly the paper is analysing a quarter's development within 1993-1995 and consequently describes the models of future tendencies. The end is dedicated to a prediction of volume and structure of GDP in cost factors.

The goal of paper is recalling the development of debt burden of the Czechoslovakia in the period of the first republic. These questions faded away from young generation consciousness. The Czech public finance existed since 1954 without a debt. The first part of paper recalls a situation in the European countries from the view of public debts since starting points to World War. The circumstances in our republic are described in the second part. The part contains possible views of public debt. The third part outlines a development of debt burden of the Czechoslovakia. The fourth part analyses a relationship between public debt and GDP.

The Republic of Croatia followed the present way of transition under conditions entirely different to those of other Central and Eastern European countries in transition. The four-year war in Croatia significantly influenced the economic achievements of the recent past. This paper considers the particularities of transition in the Croatian economy and certain actual issues are identified which still remain open. Possible solutions to these problems are also mentioned.

In spite of fuzzy, concerning the allocation tasks this side of problem is usually leave out. The text describes general linear optimisation fuzzy model for the solution of dynamic optimal allocation tasks of company finance. The text branches out a mentioned model by fuzzy aspects.

David Ricardo is one of most remarkable economist in economic history. He followed up with A.Smith and gave new directions, too. We discover two main contributions in his work. The first one was an effort to find regularity in distribution (theory of differential rent). The second one was the principle of comparative advantages in an international trade. Ricardo influenced a political economy even by methodological side. He was the first, who used to abstract theoretical model as a base tool for recognition. The text is divided into two parts. The first part brings the theory of distribution and value theory.
