Usnadňování obchodu v liberalizaci mezinárodního obchodu a Evropská unie

Usnadňování obchodu (Trade Facilitation) je jako téma zařazeno do diskusí členů Světové obchodní organizace (WTO) téměř již od jejího vzniku, od konference ministrů WTO v Singapuru v r. 1996. Toto téma se dostalo také do agendy současného negociačního kola, které bylo pod názvem Doha Development Agenda otevřeno v r. 2001, a zůstalo v něm i po vyloučení některých témat z jednání v r. 2004. Téma usnadňování obchodu je zájmem jak rozvinutých, tak rozvojových zemí. Jedná se o harmonizaci a zjednodušení procedur doprovázejících obchodní operace. Pokrok v této oblasti bude mít významné ekonomické přínosy pro podnikovou sféru, avšak vyžaduje značné investice ze strany vlád, které se harmonizačních procesů zúčastní. Text nastiňuje problematiku usnadňování obchodu a zabývá se zájmy Evropské unie v této oblasti.

Trade Facilitation Through Liberalisation and the EU

Trade Facilitation is a topic of the discussion of the members of the World Trade Organization (WTO) since almost its establishment, since the WTO Ministerial Conference in Singapore in 1996. The issue has been included into the agenda of the current round of negotiations that has been open as Doha Development Agenda in 2001 and remains in it also after exclusion of some topics from the agenda in 2004. Trade Facilitation is in interest of developed as well as developing countries. The core of the issue is facilitation and harmonization of procedures accompanying business operation. Progress in this field will have significant benefits for business sphere, but it requires an extended investment from the participating governments. The text sums up the area of Trade Facilitation and deals with interests of the EU in this field.
