Cloud Computing Effects on Enterprises in Czech Republic and European Region

Information technologies is constantly evolving. Every day new technologies are developed that can significantly change way of doing business. Cloud Computing an example of such technologies. Cloud computing which became popular during the last decade has changed the way we live by providing more opportunities across multiple industries and their employees worldwide. The aim of this research is to analyze the effects of Cloud Computing on Enterprises in Czech Republic and in other countries of European Region such as United Kingdom, Azerbaijan, Turkey and Poland. The research first describes the Cloud Computing in general, provides description and specifications of cloud computing together with the main benefits and threats of implementation of this technology in day-to-day business. Sample of nine companies in five selected European countries were used for analyzing the effects of Cloud Computing on enterprises. During the research it was found out that economic effects of Cloud considering as the main one from companies’ perspective, while easier data management experience from the workers perspective. Also based on research results, the strengths, and weaknesses of Cloud Computing usage in nine companies in five analyzed countries were discovered. Research finding about each country are analyzed and compared between each other and then recommendations for the companies are proposed.
