| Abstrakt: | Cílem této bakalářské práce je najít a analyzovat nejvýznamnější vlivy geografie, které působí na současnou bezpečnostní strategii Ruské federace. Jako teoretické východisko pro tuto práci byl zvolen neorealismus, který je v práci zastoupen jeho čelními představiteli, mezi které patří Kenneth Waltz, Stephen Walt, John Mearsheimer a další. Práce se také silně opírá o poznatky Tima Marshalla a Alexandra Dugina v oblasti geopolitiky a o George Friedmana v oblasti mezinárodní bezpečnosti. V rámci teoretické části práce jsou shrnuty poznatky těchto autorů a následně jsou tyto znalosti aplikovány na problematiku bezpečnostní strategie Ruské federace.V rámci analytické části práce je charakterizována geopolitická pozice Ruské federace i s jejími výhodami a nevýhodami. Toho je učiněno skrze poznatky Tima Marshalla, Alexandra Dugina, George Friedmana a Oskara Krejčího. Analytická část práce se dále zabývá důsledky rozpadu Sovětského svazu na současnou ruskou bezpečnostní strategii a ilustruje tuto strategii na příkladu ruského Západního vojenského okruhu. V rámci těchto kapitol je také z ruského pohledu blíže vysvětlen význam východní Evropy pro ruskou bezpečnost a jsou zde blíže popsány vztahy mezi Ruskem a spojeneckým uskupením NATO. Část práce se ve vztahu k NATO zabývá i rozšiřováním této organizace do východní Evropy a hrozby, které tyto akce mohou vyvolat.Na základě výzkumu této práce bylo zjištěno, že existují tři dominantní vlivy geografie, které působí na ruskou bezpečnostní strategii. Těmito vlivy jsou přítomnost rozsáhlého nerostného bohatství na území Ruské federace, absence snadného lodního přístupu do světových oceánů způsobeného geografickým umístěním země a Východoevropská rovina, na které se nachází jádro státu. Všechny tyto tři vlivy silně ovlivňují podobu jak ruské bezpečnostní strategie, tak ruské zahraniční politiky. Z výsledků výzkumu této práce je možné lépe porozumět chování Ruské federace v rámci mezinárodních vztahů, pochopit silné i slabé stránky ruské geopolitiky a uvědomit si silné vazby mezi ruským geopolitickým postavením a ruskou bezpečnostní strategií. |

| Abstrakt: | The aim of this bachelor thesis is to find and analyze the most important influences of geography, which affect the current security strategy of the Russian Federation.As the theoretical basis for this work was chosen neorealism which is represented by its leading representatives, including Kenneth Waltz, Stephen Walt, John Mearsheimer and others. The work is also based strongly on the findings of Tim Marshall and Alexander Dugin in the field of geopolitics and on George Friedman in the field of international security. The theoretical part of the thesis summarizes the findings of these authors and then is this knowledge applied to the security strategy of the Russian Federation.The analytical part of the thesis characterizes the geopolitical position of the Russian Federation and its advantages and disadvantages. This is done through the findings of Tim Marshall, Alexander Dugin, George Friedman and Oskar Krejčí. The analytical part of the thesis also deals with the consequences of the collapse of the Soviet Union on the current Russian security strategy and illustrates this strategy on the example of the Russian Western Military District. Within these chapters is in more detail also explained the importance of Eastern Europe for Russian security and the relations between Russia and the NATO alliance. Part of the thesis deals also in relation to NATO with the expansion of this organization to Eastern Europe and the threats that these actions may pose.Based on the research of this work, it was found that there are three dominant influences of geography that affect the Russian security strategy. These influences are the presence of extensive mineral wealth in the territory of the Russian Federation, the absence of easy shipping access to the world's oceans due to the geographical location of the country and the Eastern European plain, where the core of the state is located. All three of these influences strongly influence the shape of both Russia's security strategy and Russia's foreign policy. From the results of the research of this work it is possible to better understand the behavior of the Russian Federation in international relations, understand the strengths and weaknesses of Russian geopolitics and realize the strong links between Russia's geopolitical position and Russia's security strategy. |
