Vývoj a úloha služeb v Japonsku s důrazem na problematiku stárnutí

The present thesis focuses on the service sector role and development in Japan, with a particular emphasis on using the services to address demographic aging. The first chapter describes the three-sector model, its weaknesses and contemporary approaches to economic-development research. The end of the theoretical part focuses on the ISIC and JSIC, and creates a basic model for the thesis. The objective of the second chapter is analysis of the economical development in Japan, stressing the role of the service sector and its relation to the remaining sectors, as well as impacts of the employment, investments, GDP composition and service sector structure and its development based on the world events from the end of the WWII. Next, the thesis focuses on the demographic aging. The third chapter objective is to determine the impact of aging on the Japanese economy, including description of the aging causes, contemporary development in this area and estimation of the future trends. The last chapter integrates the findings from the previous chapters and determines the spheres of the service sector with useful potential for mitigating the consequences of the aging for Japanese economy. The conclusions based on this thesis reveal that the development of Japanese economy is closely related to the service sector stability, in which there are potential spheres and recommendations which can help to mitigate some of the impacts of the aging. In the end of the thesis there can be found examples of activites from both the public and the private sectors, which illustrate implementing these measures into practice.
