Companies were forced to rethink their responses to a wide range of stakeholder-demands. Although they are willing to take on “more” corporate responsibility and commit to sustainability, they have difficulties understanding these terms and how to apply them; there are too many conflicting definitions of these terms. Therefore, this paper provides a philosophically based introduction into the concepts of “corporate responsibility” and “sustainability”, as well as their application to daily business. It broadens readers’ minds towards a holistic understanding of which kind of responsibility they should be taking on and to whom. For the first time a model of Sustainable Corporate Responsibility (SCR) is presented in this paper mirroring all the different scopes of “Triple Corporate Responsibility”. Besides economic responsibility , a company also has to take on social and ecological responsibility to realise sustainable success. The model presented outlines all different approaches regarding sustainable corporate responsibility - be it exclusively economic and short-term oriented, or be it fully ethical, ecological and long-term oriented. Thus, it is not a normative model but one that expresses the possible ranges of SCR. Typical variations of company-profiles can be derived from the model. Comparisons between the states of corporate responsibility companies have achieved, can be easily drawn and communicated. Moreover, gaps between delusion and reality can be illustrated. Business schools are supposed to contribute to a holistic understanding of management which creates value along a triple bottom line: profit, people and planet. The triple bottom line finds its realization in the concept of sustainable corporate responsibility. This paper discusses possible approaches for business schools how to educate students to be future generators of sustainable value for business and society at large and to work for an inclusive and sustainable global economy. On the basis of the recently published Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME) as well as contemporary learning theories, the paper provides concrete recommendations how to foster students’ development towards long-term thinking, responsible business leaders. The paper argues that student learning needs to occur within powerful learning environments to provide an active, problem-based and self-directed acquisition of knowledge, skills and attitudes. Two approaches to create best-practice learning environments are real-life case studies and real-life student projects which both lead to a strong buy in of students, faculty and company partners. Both approaches are exemplified with the bachelor degree program International Management at the Zurich University of Applied Sciences (Switzerland). As a conclusion, a responsible management education fosters the students’ knowledge, skills and attitudes towards responsible business leadership to shape the future direction of the 21st century. The Example of Automotive Components in the Czech Republic Abstract: The automotive industry is the key sector of the Czech national economy. Its share on GDP represents more than 8 % and the Czech Republic is the 14th biggest producer of cars in the world. The goal of this article is to analyze the development of the customers´ portfolio of the automotive suppliers in the Czech Republic from the perspective of their international location. The diversification of portfolio can be measured in many ways. The approach in this article relies both on usual statistical tools (concentration ratio, Lorenz curve, Gini coefficient, Herfindahl-Hirschman index) and on specific approaches such as number of partners, geographical diversification and average distance travelled by exported component. Even though the export volume has been dynamically growing, it has remained focused on a limited number of crucial countries, which are mostly located in the close neighborhood of the Czech Republic.
