Title: Introduction
Abstract: Vážení čtenáři, rok 2008 přinese významné změny, které ovlivní úvahy podniků i občanů ve směru k investicím a především k úsporám nákladů. Do druhého čísla jsme aktuálně zařadili tři příspěvky, které se zabývají aktuální problematikou investic. Každý z příspěvků však řeší kvalitativně odlišný problém. První příspěvek Jiřího Hnilici se zabývá otázkou, jak vnímat investiční rozhodování v prostředí regulované distribuce zemního plynu. Autor upozorňuje na některé problémy, například povolených a reálných nákladů a též daňových odpisů a odpisů povolených regulátorem v souladu s předpokládanou životností aktiva. V závěru je pak nastolena otázka "spravedlivé ceny", resp. "spravedlivé hodnoty", která významnou měrou otevírá prostor pro širokou diskusi.  Netradiční téma hodnoty externalit nabízí čtenáři příspěvek autorky Martiny Krškové. Autorka upozorňuje, že právě problém externalit nabývá na významu v souvislosti s projekty, které směřují do Evropských fondů; má na mysli například hodnotu ochrany životního prostředí nebo lidského života. Právě v tomto ohledu uvádí zajímavý příklad, jak se liší hodnota života muže a ženy. Globalizace a s ní spojené změny přinášející nové a nové inovace, vyvolávají potřebu rozpoznání těchto změn a především i rychlou reakci v podobě implementace do praxe. Reálně opční techniky pomáhají manažerům právě v kvantifikaci hodnoty flexibility. Hana Scholleová v příspěvku poukazuje na skutečnost, že dříve než využijeme některou z metod, klíčový problém spočívá právě v identifikaci opcí. Příklad, který tvoří součást příspěvku, čtenáři názorně přiblíží podstatu jinak složitého postupu. Jiří Klečka připomíná téma produktivity práce. Východisko pro měření tvoří ekonomická přidaná hodnota; autor nabízí její sofistikovaný rozklad na dílčí činitele, které ji ovlivňují. Současně předkládá nástroje pro kvantifikaci vlivu dílčích činitelů na souhrnný ukazatel ekonomické přidané hodnoty. Insolvenční zákon, který vstoupil v platnost dnem prvního ledna letošního roku přinesl nový institut, a to osobní bankrot. První "bankrotáři" již existují a není bez zajímavosti, že na internetové adrese justice je k dispozici nejen zákon v plném znění, ale též insolvenční rejstřík. Je zřejmé, že subjekty, které se ocitnou právě v moci této nové úpravy, budou z řad zadlužených domácností, jejichž počet trvale roste a spolu s růstem inflace a cenové hladiny lze očekávat, že se projeví právě i v nárůstu zájemců o využití tohoto nového institutu. Luboš Smrčka nejen charakterizuje vývoj zadluženosti, ale zamýšlí se i nad sociální otázkou z ní plynoucí. Eva Kislingerová

Title: Some Remark on Asset Pricing in the Environment of Regulated Gas Distribution in the Czech Republic
Abstract: The paper deals with selected issues prevalent in the environment of regulated gas distribution. Regulation which ensures for investors an up-front known rate of return lead in valuation of an individual investment projects to obstacles we do not meet in other fully liberal markets. Solution of these obstacles often lies beyond the scope of investor´s interest, has potentionally tremendous macroeconomical consequences and there requires a tight cooperation between the companies in the industry and Regulator.

Title: The Productivity and her Measurement - New Approaches
Abstract: The modern development of Corporate Systems calls for innovations (realistic) in the economic production criteria, as compared to traditional criteria, supported largely by optimum operating conditions. In order to measure the contemporary value concept of production, it is necessary to construct an indicator which accurately reflects economic effets, such as changes in consumption levels (a factor of production) and changes in their dutiable status, by means of the quantity flow. The objective of this article is expose the methodology and the indicators of productivity movement in the manufacturing subsystem and his influence on the EVA (Economic Value Added) of the enterprise.

Abstract: The text describes theoretical concepts of the valuation of goods, which isn't done directly by the market - that of externalities and free goods. It concentrates on methods used to find their value, and then summarizes the main approaches used to find the value of human life. The only relatively easy to apply method, the one based on capitalization of income, is criticized due to the fact that its outcomes do not reflect the needs of consequent application.

Title: Selected Aspects of Grant Policies and their Impact on Institutional Development of Czech Sport and Physical Education. Trends.
Abstract: Publicly versus privately offered products (products and services) ratio has, for a long time, been an issue frequently discussed by economists. Another question usually arises simultaneously: what is the impact of this ratio on social efficiency of resources allocation and on social throughput and usefulness of placement publicly or privately offered products and services? Currently, opinions concerning these problems are polarised. In the Czech Republic, sport and physical education have a long tradition. However, standing between the private and public, this sphere has been undergoing major changes which have transformed not only the character of sport, but also the traditional conception of sport and physical education as such. One of the key issues having to be addressed is therefore the role of the State, regions and municipalities in the process of setting unified grant policies rules and the role of grant beneficiaries. Efficient and purposeful functioning of sport and physical education can be ensured only if clear grant policies are put in place.

Title: The real options application for firm valuation
Abstract: Real options as a right of future decision making based on additional information from company external are possible to find everywhere, all of the firms have the flexibility. The flexibility value is result of the DCF methods, but it is necessary calculate also with flexibility value. For its utilizing some selection is needful as the work with real options could bring more use then expense. The first grade of selection is not care for decision at certainty or at risk with zero volatility, where option value is close to zero. The real options give the some answer as classical methods of DCF in case when the decisions making can not be defer Real options are not a new method, but they only enlarge the scale of classical methods, they give possibility to evaluate the firm opportunities.

Title: Family debts - current topic today
Abstract: This article gathers current date about czech family debts progress and contextualizes them with another ones about czech economic conditions. Author very critically approaches a ability of families to orientate oneself well and without mistakes in current world of bank advances and disputes their ability the correct risk evaluation. The basic author ´s result is hypothesis, that the consumer sector in Czech Republic passes through credit crisis in near future and it´s effect will be probably tens of thousands families in bankruptcy.
