The aim of the paper is to point out some problems of index estimation for the purposes of weather derivatives valuation considering the particularities of agriculture (particularly a basis risk). The analysis was based on multiple linear regression using monthly average air temperatures and monthly precipitation totals (as the independent variables) and natural yields of the main field crops (as dependent variable). The case study was carried out in the district Mladá Boleslav (Middle Bohemia). The basis risk was assessed by modeling of five scenarios of revenue risk management. The results revealed a significant adverse impact of basis risk on the quality of parametric products. The paper also outlines some possible solutions. It is time to "ex post" evaluation of the Investment Incentives policy that has been broadly used. Linear Mathematical Programming is able to distinguish which of examined units are efficient and which are not. In this analysis I have used only two inputs, in order to gain simple interpretation. First input describes the amount of government expenditures used and the second input describes the state of Capital Endowment of Labor in each year. The output is FDI intensity index which describes not only FDI inflowing but even FDI out flown. These all statistics are calculated with the EUROSTAT for each year for each country. In conclusion it is needed to say that the analysis has shown some interesting facts and additional GDP time series analysis make these ideas more understandable.
