The purpose of this article is to instroduce a new concept and methodology regarding the management of paycosts. This innovational approach was created to improve the paycosts management in commercial companies. Presented approach is innovative due to the change in the paycosts management which can be seen as an investment in human capital. The combination of necessary adjustments in the compensation system and application of strategic job segmentation enables more effective paycosts management and reinforces the transparency of compensation system in commercial companies on a long term basis. The Job Familes concept is based on data retrieved from analysis of actual compsensation systems, this analysis was put into practice in the area of commercial companies within the european region. The long term analyses of data and policies of compensation systems facilitated the creation of the Job Families concept, said concept was afterwards integrated into selected compensation systems of companies operating in various segments and various European countries. The main objective of the research was to verify that this concept is applicable and to verify its positive impact on the paycosts management in commercial companies. At first, the paper focuses on the history and theoretical definition of information asymmetry. It is regarded as one of the market failures that may have possible negative impacts into production or consumption. Negative impact of asymmetry is also described by the micro-economic model of Michael Rothschild and Joseph E. Stiglitz, who analyzed the impact of it on market equilibrium. Then paper focuses on the current situation within the insurance market, which is modelled with three participants (client, broker and insurance company). Paper covers forms of asymmetry by each participant, sources of asymmetry, motivation for asymmetry and concrete examples of information asymmetry. Finally the paper also provides available data which can express the current situation in the Czech Republic and provides actually applied solutions for solving the information asymmetry problem. There are also mentioned specific issues, which are related to information asymmetry - lack of financial education and problem of privacy. The aim of the theoretical part is to define the concept of customer capital from foreign literature and also to mention the possibility of its measurement and finally to synthesize the results of empirical studies about relationship between customer capital and business performance conducted in foreign literature and so to confirm or to refute the positive impact. The aim of the research is to verify the impact of customer capital on the performance in industrial enterprises in the Czech Republic and thus to provide executives information whether and which components of customer capital to manage for achieving a long-term business performance.
