VŠE is the best Business School in Eastern Europe according to this year‘s Eduniversal Ranking

10. 11. 2017 - In the annual Eduniversal ranking, which took part for the 10th time this year, the University of Economics, Prague (VŠE) placed first and gained a title of the best Business School in the Eastern Europe. More


International & Study Abroad Fair 2017

3. 11. 2017 - On Wednesday 29th November, 2017 (Atrium of the Rajská Building) the fourth International & Study Abroad Fair will be organized by the International Office. Prof. Hana Machková elected Rector of VŠE for the second time

16. 10. 2017 - On Monday 16th October 2017, at the University of Economics, Prague, Prof. Hana Machková was elected as the university’s Rector for the second time. In a secret ballot, she received from VŠE’s Academic Senate 16 votes. More


MIFA received ICAEW accreditation

Jindřichův Hradec celebrates 25 years of higher education

12. 10. 2017 - Exactly twenty-five years ago the very first classes of higher education started in Jindřichův Hradec. On the premises of the former District Committee of the Communist Party of Czechoslovakia, its history slowly began to form, at the end of which, one of the faculties of the University of Economics, Prague – the Faculty of Management stands today. Nobel Prize in economics awarded to Richard Thaler who received Doctor oeconomie honoris causa degree at VŠE

10. 10. 2017 - Richard H. Thaler, an economist at the University of Chicago, Booth School of Business, was awarded the Nobel Prize in economics for his contributions to the field of behavioural economics. In December 2015 he received an honorary degree of the University of Economics, Prague (VŠE) on the basis of a proposal made by the Scientific Council of the Faculty of Economic. More


CEMS Club Prague is the best Club in the CEMS Alliance

10. 10. 2017 - CEMS Club Prague has been awarded the best club out of 30 schools within the CEMS Alliance. St. Gallen and Rotterdam for their 2nd and 3rd position. The best club is voted by students and CEMS Student Board subsequently chooses the 3 best clubs. More


Job Fair ŠANCE (Chance)

5. 10. 2017 - From 17th to 19th October, the job fair ŠANCE (Chance) will be held at the University of Economics, Prague (VŠE). Students and graduates of VŠE will have the opportunity to see job offers from one hundred and thirteen employers represented at the fair. The fair will last for three days, on each day from 10:00 am to 4:30 pm. The entrance is free. More


Week for Education will introduce student organizations at VŠE

28. 9. 2017 - The Week for Education, announced by the Czech Rectors' Conference (CRC), will be held from 2nd to 6th October. It will include the Solemn Opening of the Academic Year 2017/2018 and the CRC Plenum Meeting in Liberec on Monday 2nd and Tuesday 3rd October. More


VŠEFEST Introduces Bands and Student Organizations from VŠE for the Second Time

20. 9. 2017 - On Thursday September 28th at 12:30 p.m. the second year of the student festival of the University of Economics in Prague, VŠEFEST, will take place at Jarov dormitories. Five student bands will perform there and many student organizations will present their activities at stalls. The events is non-alcoholic, open-air and full of interesting main and accompanying program. More


CEMS Block Seminar 2017

12. 9. 2017 - The academic year 2017/2018 for the new CEMS class at the University of Economics, Prague has been kicked-off with the Block Seminar, which was held on September 4 - 8, 2017. The Block Seminar is a compulsory part of the CEMS MIM curriculum. An attractive topic “Business Model Innovation in the Context of Digital Disruption” has been prepared in cooperation with the CEMS corporate partner Hilti for a group of 39 students of 20 nationalities coming from 16 CEMS partner universities. More


The VŠE has undergone another Series of Renovations during Summer 2017

11. 9. 2017 - During the summer months of 2017, the VŠE’s Žižkov campus underwent a number of reconstructions. The Likešova Aula, which is located on the ground floor of the New Building, was renovated. It now has a total of 250 seats, with electrical sockets installed at all levels of the lecture hall, as well as a simplified passageway through the middle sector. More


Joint meeting of the French Conference of Rectors (CPU) and ČKR at VŠE

7. 9. 2017 - On Friday, September 8, 2017, a CPU board meeting will be held at the University of Economics, Prague (VŠE), along with representatives of the Czech Conference of Rectors as part of the Action Plan of the French-Czech Strategic Partnership for the period 2014-2018, signed by the Prime Ministers of both countries. The visit is organized in cooperation with the French Embassy in Prague. More


In September more than 800 foreign students will come to study at VSE, the Orientation Week will welcome them

3. 9. 2017 - On Monday, September 11th, 2017, more than 800 students of Degree Programmes and students of Exchange Programme will arrive at the University of Economics, Prague (VSE). As a welcome, the Orientation Week is organized one week prior to the start of semester by the International Office Staff. More


The Economic Literature Bookstore Ekopress newly opened

28. 8. 2017 - On Wednesday 23rd August, the Ekopress bookstore has been opened in the mezzanine of the Old Building. The shop of economic literature is located at the entrance to the building. More


MIB EPAS Consortium to Deepen its Cooperation

24. 8. 2017 - The Faculty of International Relations (FIR) is a founding member of the MIB-Master’s in International Business EPAS Consortium. Only those schools which have obtained the prestigious EPAS accreditation from the EFMD, as well as offering a follow-up Master's degree programme in International Business, can become members of this association. More


Orientation Week for international students

9. 8. 2017 - Orientation Week (shortly Oweek), which takes place from September 11th till September 15th 2017, is organized for all international incoming students during one week prior beginning of each semester. More


International & Study Abroad Fair 2016 Academic Year 2016/2017

28. 6. 2017 - During the academic year 2016/2017, the University of Economics, Prague (VŠE) continued doing its various successful projects. At the same time it has established new cooperation partnerships and strengthened its name in the international academic environment. Moreover, in September 2016 the AACSB Accreditation Process of the VŠE was launched on foot of an AACSB decision. More


International Advisory Board Meeting

26. 6. 2017 - The very first meeting of the International Advisory Board (IAB) of the University of Economics, Prague [VŠE] is set to take place on Monday, June 26, at the VŠE. The IAB is an advisory body which was established by the Rector of the VŠE. The IAB‘s main mission is to consult the strategy and development of the VŠE with foreign academics and top Czech managers. More
