Master’s Program International Business – Central European Business Realities

In the academic year 2011/2012, the University of Economics in Prague offers for the tenth consecutive year the two year Master’s Program International Business – Central European Business Realities that is fully taught in English. Program enables students to graduate with a double degree diploma, i.e. with a diploma from the UEP and a diploma from a German, French, Austrian or Swiss partner university.

The Program International Business – Central European Business Realities accepts the applications until the 29 April 2011. The admission’s conditions are the successfully finished bachelors study, motivation and reference letters, excellent English and the entrance exam proving the applicant’s ability to structure his/her ideas on a broader economic topic. The Program is based on an interdisciplinary approach to the study and as such, it is an only one Master’s Program at the UEP, to which applicants with bachelor diplomas of all fields are accepted, not only from the economic or business areas.

The Program provides a comprehensive business education and addresses specificities and characteristics of the Central (and Eastern) European business environment. The main fields of study are economics, international management and management accounting, international finance, international marketing and communication, international trade, trade policy and trade operations, intercultural negotiations. In the framework of the optional part of the Program, students can choose from more than 70 courses of the UEP taught in English, including intensive ones.

ib2.jpgEach academic year, 30 students are admitted. For the seminars, they are split into two groups, what allows an effective teaching process and an intensive discussion. In the program, teachers from the UEP as well as visiting professors from partner universities participate. Guest lectures are provided also by managers of international enterprises.

Students are offered a possibility to study the second year at the universities in Lyon, Mainz, Innsbruck or Geneva. Partner’s programs are fully compatible with the Program International Business and students graduate with a double degree diploma, it means with a diploma from the UEP and a diploma from the foreign university.

Tuition fee is 3600, – Euros per one academic year.

Nowadays, more than 70 students from 29 countries study the Program (from Armenia, Austria, Azerbaijan, Belgium, Belorussia, Bulgaria, Canada, Croatia, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Kazakhstan, South Korea, Macedonia, Moldova, Morocco, Norway, Peru, Portugal, Russian Federation, Slovak Republic, Turkey, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, USA a and Vietnam). Graduates from the program have found their jobs in private as well as public sectors or established their own successful enterprises at home or within globalized economy.

ib3.jpgAlumni of the Program are very well positioned at the job market – they are offered positions namely within international corporations, given their language skills and performance ability. In December 2010, the IB Alumni Club has been established and members from Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Ecuador, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Ghana, Greece, India, Italy, Japan, Kazakhstan, Lebanon, Libya, Lithuania, Macedonia, Mexico, Morocco, New Zealand, Palestine, Philippines, Poland, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Taiwan, Thailand,. Turkey, Ukraine, USA, Uzbekistan and Venezuela started to create an important network. The Program has its group for students, alumni and teachers at the LinkedIn.
