Summer School from The University of Texas at Austin at VŠE
The Prague University of Economics and Business is currently hosting a five-week Summer School for 65 students from The University of Texas at Austin. This long-standing academic collaboration offers students a unique opportunity to pursue intensive study programs in the heart of Europe.
Undergraduate students are enrolled in the Management in Prague course, focusing on topics such as organisational behaviour, leadership, and management. Graduate students take part in the Accounting in Prague program, which concentrates on starting a business in the Central European region. The courses are taught by four visiting professors from the United States and four academics from VSE.
In addition to lectures, students will take part in site visits to prominent Czech institutions and companies. These include Radio Free Europe, the Škoda Auto company, and the Kozel brewery in Velké Popovice. A visit to the Rückl glassworks is also planned, offering students a hands-on experience with traditional Czech glassmaking.
Organized by the International Office, this Summer School represents a valuable opportunity for American students to gain insight into the Czech business environment, while strengthening the international profile of VŠE.
