A Record Number of International Students Joins VSE for the Fall Semester 2026

A new semester brings a new group of international students to the Prague University of Economics and Business (VSE). This Fall, VSE welcomes more than 500 incoming Exchange students from over 50 countries, joined by more than 700 new students in VSE’s English-taught degree programmes.

Orientation Week

Their first days at VSE begin with Orientation Week, organised by the VSE International Office from September 14–18, 2026. The programme helps students settle into their new environment, learn more about studying and living in Prague, and meet fellow students from around the world.

Throughout the week, students can take part in sessions on Czech history and culture, a Czech Language Crash Course, Culture Shock and Intercultural Competences, as well as an introduction to VSE Library services. The programme also includes a Welcome Ceremony for Exchange students in the Vencovský Auditorium, enriched with a cultural performance by Gaudeamus folklore group. Sports activities, Chill-Out sessions and a Team Game are other activities giving students plenty of opportunities to explore the campus and make new friends.

The international experience at VSE continues throughout the semester. ESN VSE Prague supports incoming students through its Buddy Programme and a variety of social, cultural and integration activities. Buddies help students before their arrival and throughout their stay in Prague.
