Mental Health Day at VŠE
On Wednesday 9 April 2025, the second Mental Health Day took place at the VŠE. The event was part of Innovation Week this year and offered a rich programme for both students and staff. The main theme of this year’s event was mental resilience, i.e. the ability to cope with stress and uncertainty.
Mental health has long been perceived at the VŠE as an integral part of the well-being and performance of both students and staff, so this year we dedicated the day to activities aimed at strengthening mental resilience, offering inspiration and specific techniques to take care of yourself and your psyche.
The programme included lectures on mental resilience and wellbeing. Staff attended a workshop on stress management techniques. There was an interactive lecture on anxiety and depression. A workshop on mindfulness techniques was also available for those interested. The Czech Red Cross conducted a first aid course for employees. The day’s programme was complemented by an event in English on the theme of Resilience.
Adam Táborský and Roksana Táborská from Terapie mezi stromy, Český červený kříž a Academic and Psychological Counselling of the VŠE contributed to the programme of this year’s event.
We are glad that Mental Health Day has become a part of our school life and we hope to continue it.
