Operation of services at VŠE during the summer holidays

VŠE Library Summer Hours 2026

In connection with the library’s summer operations, there will be temporary changes to our services and opening hours. Here is an overview of important information for the period starting June 22, 2026:

Library Operations Information

Returning Books When the libraries are closed, you can return books via the book return box (bibliobox) located at the entrance to the Old Building (opposite the reception desk).

Borrowing Books

• Loans from the reference collection of the Žižkov study room will be available continuously from June 22, 2026, by prior arrangement. The final opportunity to borrow these materials is June 30, 2026, by 4:00 PM.
• The due date for these loans will be set to August 24, 2026, with no option for extension.
• Starting August 25, 2026, an overdue fine of 50 CZK will be charged for unreturned items for each commenced working day.
• Unclaimed orders and reservations will be cancelled after the library closes on June 30, 2026.
• The catalog will be unavailable for ordering literature from June 30, 2026, to August 15, 2026. Ordered items will be ready for pickup starting August 24, 2026.
• The VŠE Library reserves the right to decline loan requests for reference collection materials.

Interlibrary Loans The Interlibrary Loan Service will be suspended from June 30, 2026, to September 12, 2026.

Summer opening hours of VŠE InfoCentre

The opening hours of VŠE InfoCentre are changing during the summer holidays.

In July and August, you will not be able to reach the specialists of VŠE InfoCentre, but they will be fully available at infocentrum@vse.cz. So please contact them with your questions via email at any time.

VŠE InfoCentre itself will be open only in case of conferences or other events on the premises of the Prague University of Economics and Business. Official VŠE Merch is available for purchase in our e-shop.
