The President of the Czech Republic, Petr Pavel, has appointed Assoc. Prof. Petr Dvořák as Rector of the VŠE for another term of office. Assoc. Prof. Dvořák has thus successfully defended his mandate and will continue to lead the VŠE.
Petr Dvořák leads the university with a strong emphasis on the systematic development of the quality of education, responding to the changing needs of society, the labor market, and the international academic environment. His priorities include the modernization of study programs, the development of innovative teaching methods, and the strengthening of links between teaching, research, and practice.
An important part of his vision is also the support of scientific and research activities. VŠE aims to continue developing its research capacities, promoting excellence, and creating conditions for high-quality, internationally recognized outputs. Closely related to this is the strengthening of international cooperation in both teaching and research, including participation in international projects and networks of partner universities.
In the coming period, attention will also be devoted to fostering an academic environment based on openness, mutual respect, and safety. The university’s leadership strives to ensure that the VŠE is a place where students and staff have room for personal and professional growth, free exchange of ideas, and the realization of their own initiatives.
The leadership of the VŠE congratulates Assoc. Prof. Petr Dvořák on the renewal of his mandate and wishes him much success in the upcoming term of office.
