VŠE has admitted six Ukrainian students from Odesa National Economic University

As part of its continued support for Ukrainian students, the Prague University of Economics and Business (VŠE) has welcomed six students from Odesa National Economic University for the winter semester of the 2025/2026 academic year. The students were admitted as so-called freemovers, meaning outside the framework of exchange programs, and their study stay has been financially supported directly from VŠE’s own resources.

This initiative builds on the long-term cooperation between the two institutions, which was further strengthened by a recent visit of a delegation from Odesa to VŠE. The support for Ukrainian students is part of VŠE’s broader effort to assist academic communities affected by the war and to foster international cooperation.

During their stay, the students from Odesa will take part in English-taught specialized courses and become more familiar with the Czech academic environment. They will also have the opportunity to build connections with both Czech and international students — not only through classes but also via student organizations at VŠE, such as ESN VSE Prague (Buddy Program).
