VŠE welcomed over 300 exchange students to the Spring Semester 2026

A total of 304 exchange students of 46 nationalities arrived at VSE for the Spring Semester 2026. To help them settle in their new environment and prepare for the start of classes, the VSE International Office organized the traditional Orientation Week.

During the week before classes began, students explored topics such as cultural shock and learned practical strategies for managing it. They also received tips on communication and collaboration in a multicultural environment. In a Czech language crash course, they learned basic phrases, and another engaging lecture explained the main milestones of Czech history to them. The program also included an introduction to the VSE Library services together with the Idea Fair coworking space.

In the first days of classes, newly arrived students could join a VSE GO Team Game that helped them get to know the VSE Žižkov campus and meet new people.

Before arriving in Prague, many students registered for the Buddy Program organized by ESN VSE Prague, which connects international students with their Czech “buddies.” These local students help them with practical matters mainly at the beginning but also throughout their stay and support their adaptation to life in Prague. ESN VSE Prague also regularly organizes various social events that help exchange students integrate into the community and explore Czech culture, Prague and other interesting places.

All exchange students were officially welcomed during the traditional Welcome Ceremony, taking place this time in the Likešova Auditorium. The evening also included the announcement of the Team Game winners, who received a VSE merch.

We are delighted that each semester VSE welcomes a large group of students from its partner universities around the world. We wish all of them a beneficial and inspiring stay, full of valuable experiences.
