Internationalization of VŠE

The University of Economics, Prague offers a wide range of exchange programs and international bachelor´s, master´s, doctoral and MBA programs as well. In 2014, there were 681 incoming students within the exchange program. Another 151 students came within the framework of summer schools organized by VŠE. Most incoming students were from partner universities in the USA, France and Germany; 589 students were studying in international programs taught in English or Russian.

New Partner Universities

VŠE offers exchange programs to incoming and outgoing students thanks to cooperation with first-rate foreign partner universities. For example, in 2014, VŠE signed cooperation agreements with these new partner institutions: University of Michigan, Ross School of Business (USA); The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU)/Faculty of Business; National Research University Higher School of Economics (Moscow, Russia); Universidad de Malaga (Spain); University of Washington, Foster School of Business (USA); ESSEC Business School (France); Technische Universität, München (Germany); Universita degli Studi di Roma Tor Vergata (Italy); University of Lausanne, Faculty of Business and Economics (HEC – Switzerland).

Incoming students can choose from 150 courses taught in English each semester. There are also about 70 visiting professors coming to VŠE every year to teach block seminars in foreign languages. In addition to this, the Buddy Program prepares many extracurricular activities for exchange students.   

International Rankings

According to the prestigious QS World Rankings, VŠE is among the 700 Best Universities in the World. And when the Financial Times published the results of an evaluation of European Business Schools for 2014, VŠE ranked 77th in Europe. In addition, the university took part in the success of the CEMS MIM master’s program too. The program was ranked by the Financial Times (FT) as the 5th best program worldwide in the category of “Masters in Management” in 2014.

VŠE is a member of many international organizations and associations. The university cooperates with EAIE (European Association in International Education). VŠE is a member of EDAMBA (European Doctoral Programmes Association in Management and Business Administration), EUA (European University Association), EIASM (European Institute for Advanced Studies in Management), CIDD (Consortium of International Double Degrees) and EFMD (European Foundation for Management Development). The strategic priority of VŠE is its membership in CEMS, the prestigious strategic alliance of Business Schools (The Global Alliance in Management Education) and PIM (Partnership in International Management).
