MBA studies at the University of Economics, Prague

For those interested in earning the professional degree, MBA (Master of Business Administration), the University of Economics, Prague, is offering, in the academic year 2016/2017, three forms of the MBA study program: – MBA in Czech, MBA in English and French MBA program taught partly in French and partly in Czech. Applications for the MBA program in the Czech language can be sent by 15. 2. 2016. All programs are accredited by CAMBAS.

The MBA program is designed especially for university graduates who have not already studied management oriented fields of study. The MBA degree provides graduates with higher prestige and a greater degree of competitiveness in the labour market, as well as bringing higher value for the company, where the graduates are employed. The MBA course of studies enables the student to gain new knowledge in the field of management of the company, as well as giving the individual important contacts with managers in the various fields of business.

The MBA program in Czech or English, at the University is offered by the International School of Business and Management (ISBM) at the Faculty of Business Administration. The program has the European accreditation FIBAA (Foundation for International Business Administration Accreditation). This international accreditation confirms the high quality of education in accordance with stringent international requirements, and so puts teaching MBA at the Faculty of Business Administration at the level of MBA programs offered by Western European institutions of higher education. The program also has Czech accreditation CAMBAS (Czech Association of MBA Schools).

The quality of the program is evidenced by the results of this year’s ranking in the Eduniversal Best Masters & MBA’s Ranking. The MBA program taught at the University of Economics, Prague was again rated as the third best program in Eastern Europe. The main criteria for evaluation are: the reputation of the program, opportunities for career development and the level of salaries earned by the program’s graduates in their first job after graduation. On Friday, 29th April, 2016 from 15.30, in room 177 NB, an Open Day is being held, where the ISBM will give a presentation on the MBA program, which is taught in English to prospective students.

The length of the study program is 2.5 years (4 semesters of direct teaching; the 5th semester consists of writing the Master’s Thesis), and the tuition fee is CZK 250,000, excluding VAT.

Since 1990, the French-Czech Institute of Management (IFTG) at the University of Economics, Prague, has also been offering the French MBA program. This program is taught partly in Czech, and partly in French. The program is accredited in France (iaelyon, School of Management) and the Czech Republic (CAMBAS).

On 23rd March and 6th April, 2016, an Open Day will be held at the IFTG, from 17.00 in room 546 RB. On this occasion the University of Economics, Prague, will present its French MBA program to prospective students. The deadline for receipt of applications is 30th April, 2016.
