International Week at the Faculty of Informatics and Statistics

Following the example of many European universities, the Faculty of Informatics and Statistics (FIS), University of Economics, in Prague, is organizing an international week of mobility which takes place from 23 to 26 January, 2017.

FIS hosts experts and university lecturers from Germany, Austria, Norway, Italy and Slovenia. For students interesting intensive courses in English in various fields are organized. The courses are designed for students of Master programs at the University.

In the first year of the International Week, the following courses are offered:

  • Stephan Proksch: Conflict Management and Mediation,
  • Peter Molnár: Introduction to Empirical Finance,
  • Paolo Lacche: Product Management: innovating from starup to enterprise.

The course takes place from Monday to Wednesday. The International Week finishes on Thursday by the event called the International Day.

All the visiting teachers have prepared short presentations. The International Day will be held on Thursday, January 26, classroom RB 213, from 10 a.m. to 1p.m. Staff and students of the University are cordially invited to the lectures. If you have missed the registration for the intensive courses, at least accept an invitation to the International Day.
