In September more than 800 foreign students will come to study at VSE, the Orientation Week will welcome them

On Monday, September 11th, 2017, more than 800 students of Degree Programmes and students of Exchange Programme will arrive at the University of Economics, Prague (VSE). As a welcome, the Orientation Week is organized one week prior to the start of semester by the International Office Staff.

The purpose of this week-long event is not only to help the incoming students to get familiar with the campus, but also Czech culture, language, and Prague itself. The new international students can expect a wide range of activities from taking care of the necessary mobility documents and university information system InSIS workshops, through lectures on cultural shock, life in Prague, the history of Czech lands and the basics of Czech language.

Orientation Week The purpose of the Orientation Week is for students to get to know each other as well as the university campus. That is why the International Office organizes Team Game which helps students to gain useful information in interactive way.

Furthermore, activities organized by Buddy System, a VSE’s student organization, are part of the Orientation Week, including informal meetings focused on foreign language practice and trips around Prague and its vicinity.
