Job Fair ŠANCE (Chance)

From 17th to 19th October, the job fair ŠANCE (Chance) will be held at the University of Economics, Prague (VŠE). Students and graduates of VŠE will have the opportunity to see job offers from one hundred and thirteen employers represented at the fair. The fair will last for three days, on each day from 10:00 am to 4:30 pm. The entrance is free.

During the event visitors may personally meet more than one hundred exhibitors. It is recommended to visit the fair more than once because each day the exhibitors will be different. Visitors can find information about the companies, the layout of the individual stands as well as current job offers in the electronic catalogue, sance.vse.cz.

On Tuesday, entrepreneurial souls may consult their business plan with experts and on Wednesday they may evaluate their CV/profile on LinkedIn with HR professionals. The visitors may also take part in panel discussions and presentations given by the exhibiting companies or take part in coaching. For students who are interested in the CEMS/International Management Programme Mock Assessment Centre is prepared on Tuesday.

The already time-proven sticker system will be applied again at the fair. Visitors may pick up their stickers at stand No. 10. The first one is related to studies, i.e. whether a visitor is a bachelor’s or a master’s student or a graduate. The second is whether a visitor is looking for part-time or full-time work. A novelty at the fair this year is a competition for prizes provided by the exhibitors.

“The number of exhibitors is increasing with every year. This year we will welcome a total of twenty-one new companies that have never exhibited at the fair. In total, we have a hundred and thirteen exhibitors for all three days, of which seven are from the University of Economics, Prague,” says the fair’s coordinator, Dana Berkova. “This year there is also space for the non-profit sector at the fair.”

The job fair Šance connects students with professionals. Visitors will get an overview of what is on offer, as well as the requirements of employers from different spheres, such as banking, auditing, logistics, IT, retail and many more.
