The University of Economics, Prague, is offering for the fifth consecutive year, a two year International Business – Central European Business Realities master’s program.

The program represents a unique opportunity for students from all over the world to complete their education (regardless of their background and the origin of their bachelor’s diploma) in economic disciplines related to international business and its specificities in the Central European business environment. It is fully taught in English and does not demand any other language knowledge. The graduates are highly demanded by national and multinational companies for being well prepared for their management task and leadership roles in a multicultural entrepreneurial environment and for their in depth knowledge of the Central European market characteristics.

Students finish the program with a comprehensive business education in the main fields of economics, management, finance, marketing, business practices and negotiations. They are able to apply an interdisciplinary and complex approach to the management of processes in the European and namely in the Central European markets, develop business strategies tailored to European realities and successfully apply intercultural differences in various missions. Achievement of the program goal is guaranteed by professors at the University of Economics, Prague and by Academic Worldwide Capacities (visiting professors).

The best students are offered the possibility to fulfil part of their study obligations in France and take part in an English program European Business Realities at the Université Jean Moulin, Lyon 3. They are awarded both Czech and French graduate degrees (a double degree).

Every year the program welcomes students from all over the world. In the 2006/2007academic year, students from Mexico, USA, Japan, New Zealand, Libya, Italy, Germany, Finland, Estonia, France, Russia, Ukraine, Bulgaria, and Serbia are ready to share their experiences with all future students.

The entrance exam consists of an essay on an economic topic and an interview. In special circumstances, it is also possible to complete the exam via distance form. The tuition fee is 1800 EUR per semester. Other admission requirements details can be found at http://ozs.vse.cz/isc.

The applications deadline for the 2007/2008 academic year (starting in September 2007) is April 30, 2007.

I am looking forward to welcoming new international and Czech students in September in Prague, in the heart of Europe.
