Days of Partner Universities at VSE

11 Dec
2010

International Studies Centre together with students from ESN VŠE Praha – Buddy System organised the Days of Partner Universities in November 2010. 32 partner universities were presented during two days.

32 partner universities were presented by both incoming exchange students and students from VŠE who had already studied at those universities. Every presentation lasted about 20 minutes and it was mainly dedicated to students willing to study abroad. There were approximately 15 students attending presentations and at the end of each presentation there was always a time for questions.

According to attended students, the DPU is an interesting opportunity to get to know the universities from student´s perspective. It gave them an insight into different study programmes at our partner universities and helped them to decide where to go on the exchange. Presenting students mainly focused on their own experience with the university and said if they recommend their university for studying abroad and why. They also mentioned accommodation, culture of their country, catering at the university or free-time activities. Students did not forget to talk about a financial side of studying. Most of students, who are considering studying abroad, also wanted to know if a students organization similar to Buddy System exists at partner universities, because it provides a help for incoming exchange students. The presenting students were very disposed to answer all questions of Czech students.

The Days of Partner Universities is a very useful event at our university and the Czech students really appreciate it. Therefore ESN VŠE Praha – Buddy System in co-operation with International Office will organise the event also the next year.
