2012

International Studies Centre organized the Staff Training for colleagues from partner universities for a week from May 14 till May 18, 2012.

There were 12 representatives in total from 11 partner universities from 10 European countries in total. The participants came from the Universitá del Piemonte Orientale, University of Coimbra, University of Groningen, University of Liechtenstein, Ural Federal University, Berlin School of Economics and Law, Cracow University of Economics, HHL Leipzig Graduate School of Management, MCI Innsbruck and Riga International School of Economics and Business Administration (RISEBA).

The principle of the meeting was mainly presentation of our university and the exchange of the experience in the field of students’ and lecturers mobilities abroad, not only in the framework of the Erasmus programme.

The programme of the training was diverse. After welcoming by the Vice-rector for Foreign Affairs and PR prof. Ing. Hana Machková and the introduction of the university, the programme continued with interesting lectures (such as about issues of outgoing and incoming students or cultural shock of students in foreign country), workshops or meeting with Czech students selected for exchange on particular partner universities, as well as with a short course of Czech language.

In addition, our hosts from partner universities had the possibility to attend walking tour through Prague with professional guide as well as taste traditional Czech cuisine or attend the Boat Party – farewell party for exchange students organized by Buddy System.

The organization, process and the gains of the event were highly valuated by the participants, so we hope to organize this event next year again.
