The Faculty of Business Administration at the University of Economics, Prague is launching a new scientific peer-reviewed journal – Central European Business Review (CEBR) today.

The journal is primarily intended for corporations´ top management and entrepreneurs managing growing enterprises in Central Europe. The target readers include business faculties´ academics as well.

The journal focuses on strategic business issues with a Central European perspective. Its main objective is to bridge the existing gap between academics and practitioners within the region.

Central European Business Review (CEBR) is an international project. Academics from prestigious Central European business universities such as Vienna University of Economics and Business (Austria), University of Cologne (Germany), Zurich University of Applied Sciences (Switzerland) and Kozminski University (Poland) are involved in the Editorial Board. However, practitioners from prestigious companies (e.g. Procter & Gamble) also participate.

The journal will be distributed in print and its electronic issues will be available online for free. Research studies, both quantitative and qualitative, cutting-edge case studies, conceptual papers and expert analyses will be published. In each issue, there will be six reviewed papers, a discussion paper and an interview with a CEO of an important corporation present in the region´s market. In the first issue, an interview with Mr Laurent Boukobza, L´Oréal general manager for the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary will be published.

The review process is double-blind. All papers are reviewed by two reviewers: one academic and one practise leading expert.

CEBR will be published by Oeconomica quarterly.
