VŠE hosted CEMS Student Board Meeting

During the first week of October, University of Economics, Prague hosted a CEMS Student Board and their regular Student Board Meeting.

Student Board represents the voice of the students and forms a significant part of CEMS alliance, a strategic partnership of 26 prestigious business schools and universities from 4 world continents and more than 70 multinational companies.

In this meeting, the Student Board focused on several issues of interest and challenges important for the whole community. During the intense meeting sessions, the Academic, Professional and Curricular parts of the program were discussed, and several new ideas were developed.

The Student Board Members were welcomed by Hana Machkova, Vice-President for International and Public Relations and Member of CEMS Executive Board. At the welcome ceremony there were also: Roland Siegers, newly elected CEMS Executive Director, Helena Sedlackova, Vice-Dean for International Relations, and Jiri Hnilica, CEMS Academic Director and Vice-Dean for Academic Affairs.

Student Board also visited CEMS Corporate Partners, Skoda Auto and Pilsner Urquell. The members of the Student Board were active in interacting with top management and were providing them with input concerning their issues with attracting the best talent for their organizations. All in all, all participace agreed, that it was a very productive meeting with outcomes that will keep on improving the CEMS MIM and the strength of the Alliance in coming times.

CEMS MIM (M.Sc. in International Management) is a prestigious degree of the international study programme organized by the CEMS alliance. The CEMS MIM is ranked the n°3 pre-experience Master’s in Management in the world in the global Financial Times ranking for 2012 alone, and joint-top of the 3-year ranking for the period 2010-12. At the University of Economics, Prague (VŠE), the programme is realized within the master programme International Management at the Faculty of Business Administration.
