Day of Science at the University of Economics, Prague

The 6th annual Day of Science at Prague Universities – Scientia Pragensis, which is organized by five universities in Prague, will take place at the University of Economics, Prague (VŠE) on Friday, 23 November 2012.

The event is co-organized by Czech Technical University in Prague (ČVUT), Czech University of Life Sciences Prague, (ČZU), Charles University in Prague (UK), VŠE and the Institute of Chemical Technology, Prague (VŠCHT). Its objective is to present the universities not just as the educational institutions, but also to provide lectures and presentations for the public in order to also share more about research and applied sciences.

Visitors will find a wide variety of different lectures given by experts from fields such as genetics, pharmacology, and dermatology to other diverse topics such as criminology and dog breeding. The universities will also have exhibition stalls available for visitors to browse through.

In the accompanying program, the National Institute of Children and Youth as well as the National Technical Museum will be presented. Visitors will be informed about young researchers´ projects from various high schools.

Scientia Pragensis is a unique project surpassing the field of science and research itself as it also has a cultural dimension too.
