At the end of this week and over the weekend, from the 11th to 14th of April, the annual CEMS V4 Conference will be held in the Czech Republic, on the premises of the University of Economics, Prague; this conference will host 70 CEMS students from the CEE region and beyond. The topic of this year’s conference is “Strategic Decisions in a Fast-changing Environment” where seminars and workshops will provide participants with insights into strategic innovation both from the product as well as from the marketing perspective.

There are two tracks that participants can choose from, i.e. Innovations and Change Management focusing on how to sustainably nurture innovation and innovative spirit in the company to answer market needs, and the second track, called Strategic Marketing, will looks at how companies can enter new markets and localize their existing promotion with relevance to the CEE region. Apart from this, the Prague CEMS Club has prepared a very rich social program for participants. For example, participants will get to enjoy a great dinner with representatives from Škoda Auto, Unilever, Google, A.T.Kearney, and Unicredit Bank, which are partnering with the CEMS V4 conference this year. Furthermore, a sightseeing tour, a night out in the city of Prague as well as an annual CEMS Gala Night event have been organized and prepared for the participants of the conference.

The V4 Conference is organized under the honorary auspices of the Ambassadors of Poland, Hungary and Slovakia and is supported by the Visegrad Fund. It aims to increase the awareness of the CEE region and foster regional cooperation within the international CEMS community. It is supported by embassies of all four Visegrad countries. The first V4 conference was held in 2011 in Warsaw, with the topic of “The Competitiveness Evaluation of CEE Countries”, followed by Budapest in 2012 where the focus was on “How to be Europe’s Pioneers?”, and now it is in Prague. This event is a unique opportunity for students from CEMS universities in Visegrad countries and other countries in Europe to learn and network with each other.

CEMS, the Global Alliance in Management Education, is a full-time two-year Master’s Program in International Management that is offered by the Faculty of Business Administration at the University of Economics, Prague (VŠE). The entire program is taught in English and is designed for talented graduates of bachelor’s degree programs who are interested in international business. The cooperation with corporate partners and a unique combination of courses and study requirements enable graduates to get exposure to the real business world, and have a chance to gain further international experience.
