2013

Annual IB Alumni Club meeting was held on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of VSE on Saturday, 23. 11. 2013.

The IB Alumni Club organizes regular “get together” events and provides a networking platform for graduates of the International Business – Central European Business Realities program, which is a 2-year Master’s program taught in English with a possibility of getting a double degree (two diplomas) from the University of Economics, Prague, and one of the four partner universities in Europe. Students recruit from about 40 countries of the world.

The program was established to address the specificities and characteristics of the Central European business environment within the framework of the increasing trends of globalization. The program provides students with a comprehensive business education in the main fields of economics, management, finance, marketing and negotiations. Students are offered the possibility to fulfill part of their study obligations at the University of Lyon Business & Management School (France), or at the University of Applied Science in Mainz (Germany), or at Management Center Innsbruck (Austria), or at the International University Geneva (Switzerland), and to obtain graduate degrees (a double degree) from both the Czech and the host universities.

This year the 4th official gathering attended about 50 alumni and core courses professors as well as visiting professors participated in the event and shared among themselves recent professional and personal accomplishments. Given the fact that IB program has more than 170 graduates in total who reside and work all around the world the number of participants was excellent and illustrates great relationships and friendships among graduates of the IB program.
