Summer Schools at VŠE

In summer 2014, the International Office of the University of Economics, Prague is hosting summer schools in cooperation with its three partner universities.

The first one is a four-week program from mid-May to mid-June 2014 designed for 30 bachelor degree students from Arizona State University. This program has been organized for nine years with a main focus on International Business. The program includes classes by VŠE lecturers from the Faculty of International Relations, and several field trips such as Škoda Auto, a. s., and Staropramen Brewery and a Crystal Bohemia glass factory.

Secondly, there is a four-week program from June 2 to July 3, 2014 hosting students from McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin. Its lectures are given by VŠE lecturers together with American professors, and it is focused on accounting. In addition to the classes, field trips and lectures by business specialists are included. The program accommodates 35 students.

The third summer school will be a new program for a Mexican partner university, the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (ITESM). In July 2014, 32 students will participate in a four-week program “Doing Business in Central and Eastern Europe”. Lectures will be given by VŠE lecturers. In addition, the program will include several field trips to Czech companies.

In addition to summer schools organized by the International Office for VŠE partner universities, the CESP (Central and East European Studies Program) Summer University is taking place too.
