Excelent students’ research works were awarded

Every academic year the best students’ written works are awarded within the ESOP contest (excellent students’ research works). The ceremonial announcement of the best works in 2019 took place on December 12 at the University of Economics, Prague. The rector Prof. Hana Machková and representatives of faculties congratulated successful students during the event in the Vencovský Club.

The rector appreciated students’ active approach in her speech and emphasized the importance of research and science for the university and its prestige. Moreover, she announced three doctoral students awarded in the category Rectors’ Prize for Research and Publishing and congratulated them:

  • Ing. Vojtěch Kotrba – NF
    Direct preferences of sports fans: Is there a superstar effect in the fantasy league?
  • Mgr. Klára Šimůnková – FM
    Being hybrid: Conceptual update of consumer self and consumption due to online/offline hybridity
  • Ing. Jakub Drábek – NF
    The Chadbourne Agreement (1931) and its impact on the Czechoslovak sugar industry

The ESOP contest supports students’ creative activities while it is awarding the best research works – seminar, bachelor and diploma thesis. The contest is organized by the Office for Research and Science.
