Rector of Odessa National Economic University visited VSE

On Monday, 8 June, the Rector of the Prague University of Economics and Business (VSE), Petr Dvořák, welcomed the Rector of Odessa National Economic University (ONEU), Anatolii Kovalov, one of VSE’s long-standing partner institutions in Ukraine.  Dana Brázdová, Head of the International Office at VSE, took part in the meeting as well.

The meeting took place in the context of the current situation in Ukraine, which significantly affects the operation of higher education institutions and creates challenging conditions for teaching and everyday academic life. This makes ongoing international cooperation and support for partner institutions all the more important.

ONEU is a key partner university in Ukraine, with which VSE cooperates particularly in the areas of academic mobility and international projects. The visit focused on further strengthening mutual relations.

During the meeting, a number of topics related to the further development of the partnership were discussed, especially opportunities for project cooperation within the Visegrad Fund, exchange stays for students and academic staff, and the development of joint research activities. Both sides appreciated the existing cooperation and the open dialogue on future opportunities.

The Rector of ONEU expressed gratitude for the support perceived in the Czech Republic, as well as to the Prague University of Economics and Business for its assistance to Ukrainian students studying under these challenging conditions. At the end of the visit, the Rector of ONEU signed the VSE guest book. The visit contributed to strengthening mutual relations and opened new possibilities for future cooperation.
