VŠE deepens cooperation with the European Investment Bank

On Tuesday 20 February, the Rector of the Prague University of Economics and Business held a meeting with representatives of the European Investment Bank and the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of the Czech Republic.

The subject was the cooperation between the VŠE and the European Investment Bank.

Its form and further direction was presented by the Head of the EIB Office in Prague, Ms Andrea Ferjenčíková. She highlighted the interest of FIR students in the EIB Summer School, which is organised in Luxembourg, and also mentioned the interest in the STAREBEI programme for young researchers.

The meeting was attended by the Deputy Minister of Education, Youth and Sports, Mr. Jaroslav Miller. He pointed out that the course, which is being piloted by the VŠE FIR in cooperation with the EIB, has great potential for both students and those interested in government and business. The so-called micro-certificates are a modern and very attractive way to supplement knowledge in new dynamically developing topics such as sustainability financing.

The great interest in the course was confirmed by the course sponsor, the Director of the Centre for European Studies at the FIR VŠE, Jarolím Antal. According to him, the capacity of the course is already one third filled with these interested students.

The European Investment Bank – Sustainability in Investment course starts on 7 March and will include six seminars with leading EIB experts. The course is complemented by a moodle in which students will test their skills in additional online activities.

The course is free and can be registered until the end of February or until capacity is reached. More information can be found here.
