Financial Times FT European Business School Ranking 2014

2. 12. 2014 - In December, the Financial Times published its results of the ranking of European business universities. This year, the University of Economics, Prague (VŠE) achieved 77th position among the most prestigious business schools in Europe. More


VŠE CDS helps more Students and Graduates

28. 11. 2014 - The University of Economics, Prague has offered adapted rooms, conditions for entrance exams and job opportunities to disabled students since 2007. This year, the Center for Disabled Students (CDS) at VŠE is supporting 32 students with special education needs. Thank to CDS, all students with visual, auditory, physical and other disabilities can effectively navigate the university system. Support for disabled students is an integral part of the CSR activities of the University of Economics, Prague. More


CEMS students won BCG Strategy Cup

24. 11. 2014 - On Friday, November 14, 2014 a team of four students of the CEMS Programme Sabina Kabusheva, Tomáš Kalenda, Martin Žák and Karel Kotoun – named SPITFIRE, participated in the competition BCG Strategy Cup organized by Boston Consulting Group. Among a fierce competition of 38 teams coming from various academic programmes and universities such as IES, CERGE-EI, ČVUT and other CEMS students, team SPITFIRE was able to secure a victory. More

Alumni Wednesdays at VŠE

30. 10. 2014 - The University of Economics, Prague (VŠE) is launching a new project for graduates called Alumni Wednesdays. All faculties of VŠE located in Prague will take part in this project and they will offer a series of professional lectures on interesting topics. The lectures will always be held on Wednesdays from 18:00-19:30. The lectures are free. Interested graduates can register on the website of the Development and Counselling Centre of VŠE.  More

The University of Economics, Prague was awarded the second best university in Central and Eastern Europe

22. 10. 2014 - The University of Economics, Prague (VŠE) took second best place in Central and Eastern Europe in the annual international ranking of Eduniversal. VSE has been ranked among the 27 world’s best business schools. This again confirms the high level of the University of Economics, Prague, because since 2009, VŠE has regularly ranked among the three best schools in the region. More

10. 10. 2014 - Representatives of three international secondary school and one English-Czech secondary school visited the Universities of Economics, Prague (VŠE). The rector of VŠE prof. Hana Machková introduced to them the international study programmes of VŠE.  More

Logo of xPORT Accelerator of VŠE has launched project registration

23. 9. 2014 - The University of Economics, Prague (VŠE) will open a new university business accelerator xPORT in January. xPORT is dedicated to fostering entrepreneurial activities among students and startups. The students can visit the stand of the xPORT on the current event “Week of student opportunities” which takes place at VŠE. The accelerator has already launched registration for students; applicants of the public may register during October. More


According to the Prestigious QS World Rankings, VSE is among the Best Universities in the World

18. 9. 2014 - The University of Economics, Prague (VŠE) is again ranked in QS World University Rankings - one of the most prestigious international rankings of higher education institutions. It has been published annually since 2004. Currently, the 800 best universities in the world are listed in the ranking (while according to some estimates, the total number of higher education institutions in the world amounts to 20 thousand).  More


New students of CEMS have already started the semester

18. 9. 2014 - The academic year 2014/2015 for new CEMS class at the University of Economics, Prague has been kicked-off by the Block Seminar which was held on September 8-12, 2014. The Block Seminar is a compulsory part of CEMS MIM curriculum.

Two master´s degree programs at the Faculty of Business Administration successful in the Financial Times Ranking

15. 9. 2014 - The Financial Times has published its annual „Master in Management Raking 2014“. The CEMS master´s program ranked as fifth while the branch of Economy and management placed in 69th position. In a 3 year average ranking, The CEMS master´s holds 5th position. More


The 17th QMOD-ICQSS Conference at VŠE

5. 9. 2014 - From September 3rd – 5th, 2014, the 17th QMOD-ICQSS conference took place at the University of Economics, Prague (VŠE) as one of the most significant scientific conferences within the research fields of quality and service sciences in the world. The Faculty of Business Administration was one of the conference partners. More


The University of Economics, Prague and Microsoft strengthen their cooperation

3. 9. 2014 - Prof. Hana Machková, Rector of the University of Economics, Prague (VŠE) and Biljana Weber, Country General Manager Czech Republic at Microsoft, signed an Education Alliance Agreement on 27 August 2014. The two women, in positions that are usually occupied by men, agreed that education and technology are increasingly connected areas. Therefore, it is advantageous for both parties to acquire strategic partners. More


The Center for Physical Education and Sports offers new sports courses for English speaking students.

1. 9. 2014 - The Center for Physical Education and Sports (CTVS) has prepared several sports courses taught in English for fall semester 2014/2015. Courses, which are held regularly once a week, start on 22nd September and last till 19th December 2014. Students may enroll in several courses:  basketball, tennis, fitness - bodybuilding, fitness - aerobics or swimming. It is even possible to register for more than one course. All courses are taught by professional trainers with years of experiences. Most of them are former professional athletes with outstanding sport achievements. More
