On this website, we provide summary information on the measures taken by the University management in connection with the COVID-19 pandemic. The aim of the Prague University of Economics and Business is to maintain teaching as much as possible in accordance with the schedule of the academic year and the relevant forms of study, if possible. However, given the current epidemiological situation, it is obvious that the teaching conditions will not be completely normal.
Measures against the spread of COVID-19 at the Prague University of Economics and Business (VŠE) are decided by the crisis staff, which is governed in particular by regulations of the Ministry of Health or the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, or the recommendations of the Hygienic Authority of the City of Prague. The crisis staff closely monitors the epidemiological situation and responds to it adequately. The latest meeting was on October 20, 2020.
The start of courses in the winter semester at all faculties of VŠE was postponed to September 29, 2020. Courses of bachelor’s and master’s degree programmes will take place online until the end of winter semester 2020/2021.
Wearing face masks or other respiratory protective equipment in all indoor common areas of VŠE is mandatory. Some services are limited in the campus.
Students and staff infected with COVID-19 are required to report this and inform about people with whom they have come into closer and longer contact in the campus. Email firstname.lastname@example.org is available for this purpose.
Detailed and updated information for outgoing and incoming students can be found on this website.
