Kristalina Georgieva will focus her lecture on the EU budget. At the end of November, the EU approved the largest budget in history. The increased funds will be used for example for dealing with refugee crises and humanitarian foreign aid. Almost half of the budget, however, will be used to stimulate economic growth, employment and competitiveness.
